Jose Peseiro Reveals Why He Rejected the Super Eagles Job | Read
Former Manager of FC Porto Jose Peseiro has made some revelations following the reason why he did not accept the job of the Super Eagles.
The 61-year-old took to his official Instagram account on Tuesday, February 8th, 2022. According to the post, he opted out from taking the job because of lack of ability to reach an agreement in his contract with the Nigeria Football Federation( NFF).
The NFF had earlier announced after the sack of Gernot Rohr that Peseiro will be in Cameroon to watch the Super Eagles and take charge of the team immediately after the Africa Cup of Nations.
After several weeks of negotiations, during which there was news from the Nigeria Football Federation, a fact I never confirmed and this did not materialise due to the disagreement regarding contranian clauses and financial matters.
Notjustok reported on Monday, February 7th, 2022 that the NFF has decided to retain Augustine Eguavoen as the interim coach while Emmanuel Amuneke will be the chief coach of the team.
