Jose Mourinho throws jab at Pep Guardiola over Man City's Premier league charges
Former Chelsea and Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has brutally responded to Pep Guardiola claim of the number of Premier League titles won.
The Portuguese international was speaking in a press conference where he was asked about Pep Guardiola's hand gesture comments on the number of League titles he had won during the defeat against Liverpool at Anfield.
What did Jose Mourinho say about Pep Guardiola?
"Pep said he won six Premier Leagues and I won three, but I won fairly and cleanly. If I lose, I want to congratulate my opponent because they are better than me. I don’t want to win with 150 lawsuits."
Mourinho made the same gesture after raising three fingers, for the three titles he won over his two spells at Chelsea when he was taunted for his poor form during his days at Manchester United.
City have claimed they are innocent of the charges, while they relate to the time between 2009 and 2018 when Guardiola won his first Premier League title. If City are found guilty, one of the potential punishments is they could be stripped of some of the titles they have won while Mourinho's United finished second, 19 points behind City, in 2018.
