Jorginho's agent gives Arsenal deadline on his player's contract

The management of Arsenal Football Club have been given a deadline by the agent of one of its first-team midfielders, Jorginho.

The Italian joined the Gunners from Chelsea in January 2022 signing an 18-month contract which will expire at the end of this season ( 2023/24). Jorginho's agent confirmed in an interview that Arsenal has until February 2024 to decide on the player's future.

He said,

"Everything is at a standstill. We will think about it after February. However, the priority remains Arsenal."

Recall that Jorginho has maintained his stand that he wants to remain with the Gunners and also has the desire to win trophies with the club.

"Back to Italy? I have doubts as I would like to return but I don’t know when is the right moment. I want to return to Italy but I feel to have still many things to achieve, I want to fight for titles at Arsenal."

Jorginho has made eight starts for Arsenal this season and was a key part of the team that nearly won the Premier League title last season ( 2022/23).
