Super Eagles' interim manager Augustine Eguavoen has released a 28 man list for the African Cup of Nations that is to be hosted in Cameroon from January 9th, 2022 to February 6th, 2022.

Eguavoen will hope the Super Eagles do better than the last time he took charge of the team at the 2006 Nations Cup, leading the team to a bronze medal at the expense of Mali in the third-place match. He invited notable players to the team, which includes Wilfred Ndidi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Odion Ighalo, and in form Watford striker, Emmanuel Dennis.
The Super Eagles are grouped along with, seven time AFCON Champion, Egypt, Debutants Guinea Bissau and Sudan. Nigeria face Egypt in the group opener on January 11th, 2022.
