Manchester United's midfielder, Christian Eriksen has expressed his dissatisfaction with the way things have been going for him at the club in the past few months.

The Danish international struggled for game time under Erik ten Hag's side this season, he has started just nine league games. The 32-year-old has fallen down the United pecking order due to the rise of academy prospect Kobbie Mainoo.

Eriksen confirmed in an interview with a Danish website, he expressed how he felt to Ten Hag but the situation started but the Dutchman made him realise that there is competition for space because the whole midfield is performing well.

"I have had a talk with Erik about being unhappy with the situation and wanting to play as much as possible. He said Kobbie Mainoo is doing well, and the rest of the midfield is also performing well, so there is competition for places.
Of course, you can be concerned in the long run because I want to play as much as possible. You don't want to always sit on the bench."

Eriksen has played just two games since the beginning of this year (2024) and will be looking to get more game time, if he wants to play in the Euros which will be hosted in Germany.
