Here are your three Finalists for the Best Coach of the Year Award
FIFA has announced the final three nominees for the best coach award of the year 2022.
The announcement was made official by the world governing body on Thursday, February 9th, 2023. The final shortlist comprises of Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti, and Lionel Scaloni.
Ancelotti was nominated for the award because of his performance in the UEFA Champions League. He led Real Madrid to winning their 14th UCL title beating Liverpool in the final.
Guardiola got himself a spot in the final three because of his performance with Manchester City in the Premier League. He led the Cityzens to a fourth Premier League crown in five seasons in 2021/22.
Scaloni led Argentina to win its third FIFA World Cup competition remarkably. The South Americans overcame Australia, the Netherlands, and Croatia on the way to reaching the final. They emerged Champions by beating France on penalties in the final.
The award ceremony will take a look at the coach's performances in the men’s game from the period of August 8th, 2021 to December 18th, 2022. The winner will be announced at a Paris ceremony on 27 February 2023.
