Harry Kane sets a new record in the German Bundesliga
England and Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has set a new goalscoring record in the German Bundesliga in his debut season in the league.
Following Harry Kane's brace in Bayern Munich’s 5-2 demolition of Darmstadt in today's fixture, the England captain took his tally of goals in the league to 31 making him the first and only player to score over 30 goals in his debut season in the German Bundesliga.
His goals proved decisive as Bayern are now 7 points behind table toppers, Bayern Leverkusen. His 31-goal tally is also the England international's highest number of career goals in a single season as well.

There are however concerns about his match fitness level after the game as the England international picked up a knock during the game.
Bayern Munich's head coach Thomas Tuchel says it is too early to say whether he will be fit enough to feature. He stated, “He stumbled and fell in the net and twisted his ankle. He is cooling it now with ice. There is no diagnosis yet. We have to wait and see and hope it is just a scary moment. Overall we are happy with a deserved win. We kept creating chances and we deserved the goals we scored.”
