The Senior Men's team of the Germans wrote their name into the history books of football as they became the first team to score five goals past Italy.

The Germans achieved this feat in the UEFA Nations League competition against the Azurris on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022. The goals were scored by Joshua Kimmich, Ilkay Gundogan's penalty, Thomas Muller and brace from Timo Werner.
This is Germany's first Nations League victory following three consecutive draws. The Italians have been unbeaten in their group before meeting the Germans.
The last time Italy conceded so many goals in a game was 65 years ago when they lost 6-1 to Yugoslavia in the Central European International Cup.
