Frank Lampard reportedly gets coaching offer from a top club

Former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard could be on his way to the French Ligue 1 as he looks to rejuvenate his coaching career.

The England international is one of the candidates considered for the vacant managerial position in Olympique Lyon according to reports from 90 mins. Another former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter who was initially linked with the job reportedly rejected the offer stating that he was not ready to get back into coaching.

Frank Lampard has been out of work since the end of the 2022/23 season when he was the caretaker manager in charge of Chelsea. Before then, he was the head coach of Everton but was sacked in January 2023 after the Merseyside club were in danger of relegation.

Lyon announced on Monday, September 11, 2023 that they had terminated Laurent Blanc's contract following a series of bad results. The former powerhouse in the French league are currently bottom of the Ligue 1 table after four matches this season.
