Chelsea's interim manager, Frank Lampard has given an update on the match fitness of Reece James and Mason Mount ahead of the game against Brentford.

The English man has struggled to find his feet since he returned to the club following the sacking of Graham Potter in March 2023. Lampard confirmed that James and Mount will be out for the rest of the season due to an injury.

Reece James unavailable, probably for the season. Mason the same, potential for the last game of the season. He's been trying but will have minor surgery and a four-week recovery. Kai struggling a little bit with a knee, but should be training by the end of the week.

Chelsea fans will hope that both players will come back in better form next season. The Blues are currently in the 11th position with 39 points having played 31 games.
