SHARE

Fantasy Premier League ( FPL) managers are ready for another pivotal week as the 2024-25 season heats up, with week 6 right upon us with a fresh set of challenges and opportunities.

The FPL managers who owned and also gave the captain armband to Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson were the happiest of all after game week 5. The Senegalese international repaid their trust in him as he was the player with the most returns, scoring two goals and creating one that was scored by Cole Palmer.

However, every FPL manager in the world would be looking to solidify their place or move up the table in their mini-league as look forward to what week 6 will present to them.

Key Fixtures

  • Newcastle vs. Man City
  • Man Utd vs. Tottenham
  • Chelsea vs. Brighton

Top Transfer Targets for Week 6

  1. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
  2. Luis Diaz (Liverpool)
  3. Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
  4. Erling Haaland (Manchester City)
  5. Nicolas Jackson ( Chelsea)

FPL Week 6 Captain Choice

  1. Mohamed Salah ( vs Wolves) : Mohamed Salah is one of the favourites as he faces a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who have conceded a league-high 14 goals. Salah’s prospects for goals and assists are strong - he's been supplied with five big chances and created four big chances.
  2. Bukayo Saka ( vs Leicester) : Bukayo Saka has been a key part of Arsenal’s goal scoring form this season as he has been involved in eight big chances, he is expected to return for the Gunners.
  3. Erling Haaland ( vs. Newcastle) : The Norwegian has returned in every game he has played for Manchester City this season, and he is set to continue in such fine form when the Cityzens travel to the Saint James' Park to face Newcastle in the early kick-off. Newcastle's defensive statistics further add to Haaland’s prospects for more goals – they've allowed 61 shots in the box, the third-most in the league.
  4. Nicolas Jackson ( vs Brighton): The Senegalese international has scored four goals this season having scored a brace against West Ham United in game week 5. The forward player could ride on that confidence when Chelsea host Brighton at Stamford Bridge as he looks to continue to shut up his doubters.
  5. Jhon Duran ( vs Ipswich): Jhon Duran has scored match-winners in his last two games for Aston Villa coming off the bench. There are suggestions that Unai Emery could reward him with a place in the starting lineup against an Ipswich side that has not been solid at the back this season.
