Football fans react to Manchester United's decision on Mason Greenwood
Football fans around the world have reacted to Manchester United's decision to ask Mason Greenwood to leave the club.
The Red Devils announced that they had decided after a full investigation was conducted by the club. According to Manchester United, based on the evidence available to the club, the material posted online did not provide a full picture and Mason did not commit the offences in respect to which he was originally charged.
The player also released a statement with immediate effect, he thanked his family for the support that was shown to him during this time.
There were reports that Manchester United's hands were tied some employees felt appalled by the club’s initial plans around Mason Greenwood, and executives held multiple intense meetings with staff. Some discussed resigning in the event United brought Greenwood back while others started to research how to go on strike.
