Barcelona Football Club have official confirmed th exit of Samuel Umtiti on loan for the rest of the season.

The news was confirmed on the official website of Barcelona on Thursday, August 25th, 2022. According to reports from the club, he will remain with Leece until the summer of 2023, without an option to buy.

Umtiti joined FC Barcelona in the summer of 2016 from Olympique Lyonnais. In six seasons at the club, he has made 133 appearances, including 91 in La Liga and 22 in the Champions League. He has scored two goals, one in the 2016/17 league season and another the season after.

He won seven trophies since he joined Barcelona which includes, including two La Liga titles, three Copa Del Rey and two Spanish Cups. He also won the FIFA Club World Cup.
