Arda Guler who has been tipped as one of the players to watch out for in the coming year solidified the reason for his move with his goal in the 65th minute of the Euro 2024 for Turkey.

In their Euro 2024 Group F match against Georgia, Turkey secured their first-ever tournament-opening win at the finals under the guidance of Vincenzo Montella, thanks to a stunning goal by Arda Guler in the 65th minute.

Turkey took the lead with a goal from Mert Muldur after 25 minutes, but Georgia’s Georges Mikautadze equalized seven minutes later, marking Georgia's first goal in the European Championships.

The score remained tied until Guler struck from just outside the box to put Turkey back in front. Substitute Kerem Akturkoglu added a third goal in the seventh minute of stoppage time, securing a 3-1 victory for Turkey in North Rhine-Westphalia.
