Manchester City's forward player, Erling Haaland, wrote his name into the history book by equaling Cristiano Ronaldo's record of scoring 100 goals, having played fewer games for a single club

The Norwegian International achieved this feat when he scored the opening goal in the Premier League game against Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, September 21, 2024. Erling Haaland reached the 100 goal mark in just 105 appearances for Manchester City in less than three seasons.

Haaland's impressive performance also broke Wayne Rooney's record of eight goals in Manchester United's first four matches of the 2011/12 season, with nine goals in City's opening four Premier League matches this season.

He scored 52 goals in his first season at the Etihad Stadium more than any Premier League player has ever managed in a single term and the most ever by a Manchester City player.

This feat also includes included a record-breaking 36 strikes in the Premier League alongside 12 in the Champions League, as we lifted the famous trophy for the first time. He also won the Golden Boot in his first two seasons in the Premier League.

Haaland's remarkable achievement puts him in the company of legendary strikers like Sergio Aguero, the club's all-time highest goalscorer with 260 goals.
