Erik Ten Hag reacts to Manchester United's defeat against Tottenham

Erik Ten Hag saw his team suffer their third defeat in the Premier League this season after his players gave a disappointing performance against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.

Erik Ten Hag expressed his disappointment after the game during his post-match press conference after the 3-0 defeat against Spurs. According to him, his team lost the plot after Manchester United conceded the first goal after three minutes.

He said,

"To concede a goal after two or three minutes like that, did something to our belief, totally unnecessary. It is the the same mistake we did against Twente, it should be stopped in the first moment. We have to deal with this and show resilience. This is not good enough. We have to accept this and get better. Focus on the next game and do things better than we did today”.

He also spoke about the possibility of getting sacked by the board after the recent form of Manchester United.

"I am not thinking about being sacked, not at all. We all made the decision to stay together Ownership, staff, players, myself. We made the decision from a clear review of what we have to do. We knew it would take some time. We are on the same page together."

The major highlight of the game was the Red card issued to Bruno Fernandes in the first half after his reckless challenge of James Maddison. Manchester United are currently placed in 12th position after six games in the league having won just two games this season.
