Erik Ten Hag reportedly linked with a move to the Bundesliga

Former Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag is reportedly linked with a move to the Bundesliga to join Bayer Leverkusen ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this on his official social media account on Thursday, May 22, 2025. According to the Italian, Erik Ten Hag have made progress in his talks with Leverkusen as they look to replace Xabi Alonso who is set to join Real Madrid in June 2025.
He said,
"Bayer Leverkusen made progress in talks with Erik ten Hag to become their new head coach. Ten Hag has given his total availability after direct contact taking place earlier this week."
Ten Hag was sacked as the manager of Manchester United just a few weeks into the 2024/25 season. However, despite the criticism he got from a section of the club's supporters, he won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup during his time at Old Trafford.
