Chelsea's head coach, Enzo Maresca, has given an update on Cole Palmer's injury after the Blues Europa Conference League play-off against Servette at Stamford Bridge.

Cole Palmer was seen leaving the stadium holding his right hamstring in what seemed to be an injury, which was a bit of concern for the club's supporters. However, Enzo Maresca downplayed the severity of the injury to the Englishman, he said that Palmer had felt something but appeared to be fine after an initial check and also expressed optimism that he would be available for the League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He said,

"Cole felt something, but he looks fine. They already checked him, and he looks okay, hopefully it’s not any problem, and he can be available for Sunday’s game."

Chelsea won the first leg of their Conference League play-off 2-0, with goals from Christopher Nkunku and Noni Madueke, which puts them at a good advantage going into the second leg, which will be played on Thursday, August 29, 2024, in Switzerland. The Blues next league game is against Wolves at the Molineux stadium on Sunday, August 25, 2024.
