The head coach of Chelsea Football Club, Enzo Maresca has answered every supporter of the club concerning his reason for leaving out Romeo Lavia from the game against Wolves.

The Italian was speaking in a pre-match press conference before the game at the Molineux Stadium where he was asked about the omission of Romeo Lavia. The Italian said Chelsea fans should have nothing to worry about, it was just a small hamstring issue and nothing serious.

Lavia joined Chelsea from Southampton during the 2022 summer transfer window but spent most of his first season on the touchline due to an injury he picked up while he was with the Saints.

The Belgian international played the Blue's opening game against Manchester City and against Swiss side Servette in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday. He came on as a second-half substitute, having been rested initially. Speaking ahead of the clash at Molineux.

Chelsea supporters will hope Lavia is fit before their trip to Switzerland for the second leg of their play-off against Servette on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
