One of Chelsea's midfielders, Enzo Fernandez, has sent a heartwarming message to the club's supporters following the recent challenges at the club.

The Argentine international spoke exclusively to Chelsea's website about his time at the club and his plans for the future. Fernandez joined Chelsea from Benfica during the January transfer window in 2023, immediately after winning the FIFA World Cup with Argentina.

Reflecting on his first six months at Chelsea, Fernandez admitted that he initially found it difficult to adapt to the new environment. However, he expressed his love for the club, the Premier League, and the passionate fans who support Chelsea every weekend. He also acknowledged that he still has more to offer and is working hard to get back to his best form and fitness.

Enzo said,

"Maybe personally, I’m still not 100 percent and don’t feel like I’ve shown my potential, but beyond that I love being at a club as big as Chelsea, enjoying the Premier League every weekend with the fans that are so passionate. I love being here."

Fernandez also spoke about his desire to get back to the form he showed during the World Cup. He acknowledged that it would not be easy, but he is working hard every day to regain his top form.

He said,

"I am trying to get there, to the version of me that you saw at the World Cup. I want to feel like that Enzo, who was playing at the World Cup. I want to get back there. I feel good, getting better each day, but I still don’t feel like I’m at 100 percent. I’m still adapting and still don’t feel entirely myself, but I am trying to get there as quickly as possible and working hard every day to do so."

Chelsea fans will be hoping that Fernandez can rediscover his top form and help the club win games and titles.
