English midfielder leaves Chelsea on a permanent deal

The exit of players at Chelsea Football Club before the end of the summer transfer window might not be stopping anytime soon at the London club.

The next player to leave Stamford Bridge as confirmed on the official website of Chelsea is Ruben Loftus-Cheek who will be leaving the club after 19 years. The Blues confirmed the exit of the midfielder on its official website on Friday, June 30, 2023.

He joined the Blues as a kid in 2004 just a few months after Roman Abramovich bought the club, he later rose through the ranks which saw him break into the club's first team.

The next destination of Loftus-Cheek is in Serie A with AC Milan, according to reports Chelsea received £15 million from Milan. He is the latest player to join Chelsea to AC Milan since Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud made their move to Milan.

He returned to Chelsea during the 2018/19 season under Mauricio Sarri, having 40 appearances. Loftus-Cheek scored 10 goals, including a hat-trick against BATE Borisov in the Europa League, which the Blues went on to win.

Loftus-cheek had 155 appearances for Chelsea in which he scored 13 goals. He won the Premier League, Europa League and UEFA Super Cup.
