Edouard Mendy Receives Grand Entrance By His Chelsea Teammates

The goalkeeper of Senegal, Edouard Mendy, received a grand welcome from his Chelsea teammates who are currently in Abu Dhabi for the FIFA Club World Cup.

Mendy was part of the Senegal team that won the Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday, February 6th, 2022. The Terenga Lions beat the Pharaohs of Egypt 4-2 during the penalty shoot-outs. Mendy was a key part of that victory as he saved one penalty during the final game.

Mendy has been on the high of his career in the last one year. He won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, the Africa Cup of Nations. He also won the award for the best goalkeeper in last season's UEFA Champions League.

The Blues' number one shot-stopper was also named the Best Goalkeeper in the World by FIFA.
