CAF give update on doping tests for Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and Troost-Ekong after AFCON round of 16 win

A recent update has been shared by Africa's football governing body following the doping test conducted for the Super Eagles of Nigeria's players Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and William Troost-Ekong.

According to news reports, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has provided updates on the results of the doping tests conducted on Super Eagles of Nigeria players, namely Victor Osimhen, Moses Simon and William Troost-Ekong after the AFCON 2023 fixture. The tests were conducted unexpectedly and the results have been deemed shocking.

However, CAF has cleared the trio after conducting the doping tests. It was also revealed that this was not the first time Victor Osimhen had been tested, as he was previously tested after the 1-0 victory over Cote D'Ivoire in the group stages.

It was also revealed that this is not the first doping test Victor Osimhen has taken at AFCON 2023 as he was reportedly tested after the 1-0 victory over Cote D'Ivoire in the group stages of the competition.

Nigeria who currently have their eyes set on their AFCON 2023 quarter-finals fixture against Angola resumed training on Monday, January 29, 2024, with the tested players all in attendance for the training.
