Title Contenders? Denmark Names A Star-Studded Squad For World Cup 2022

Denmark has named a star-studded squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, scheduled for kick-off on the 20th of November.

Following an impressive run in the Euros 2020, where they made it to the knockout stages of the competition and UEFA Nations League, all eyes are currently on Denmark to pull an impressive run at the World Cup 2022 as the official squad has been named by the head coach Kasper Hjulmand.

This is the 6th time Denmark will be making an appearance since the inception of the competition. Denmark has named stars like Kasper Schmeichel, Christian Eriksen and so on. Eriksen is one addition to the squad that many had been impressed with following the frightening incident at the Euros 2020. Eriksen has worked his way back to match fitness, starring in almost all the games played by Manchester United this season. He also featured for Denmark at the UEFA Nations League, which commenced in 2022.

So far, just 21 players have been named by the head coach, and from all indications, other names will be confirmed before the end of the week.

Here is Denmark's World Cup 2022 Squad

Goalkeepers: Kasper Schmeichel (Nice), Oliver Christensen (Hertha Berlin).

Defenders: Simon Kjaer (AC Milan), Joachim Andersen (Crystal Palace), Joakim Maehle (Atalanta), Andreas Christensen (Barcelona), Rasmus Kristensen (Leeds United), Jens Stryger Larsen (Trabzonspor), Victor Nelsson (Galatasaray), Daniel Wass (Brondby).

Midfielders: Thomas Delaney (Sevilla), Mathias Jensen (Brentford), Christian Eriksen (Manchester United), Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (Tottenham).
