The Brazilian signed a one-year deal for Fulham Football Club as a free agent which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2023. Willian expressed his delight on the club's website concerning his return to the Premier League.

I am happy to be here, I’m happy to be back in the Premier League. Fulham is a special club, a club that wants to improve, that wants to fight for something bigger, so I’m here to help, and I cant wait to get started.

Willian understands the Premier League well having won the Premier League in 2015 and 2017 with Chelsea. He also won the FA Cup and League Cup, and the Europa League defeating Arsenal 4-1 during the 2018/2019 season.

He won player of the year, the goal of the season, and players’ player of the year, registering 63 goals and 62 assists in his 339 appearances during his seven seasons at the Bridge. After his time at Chelsea, he move to the North London to play for Arsenal for just one season.
