Dani Alves set to get an early release from prison
Former Barcelona player, Dani Alves could be released from prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a woman in Spain.
There are reports that the Brazilian International has been able to get 1 million pounds which is the amount that has been set for him to be released on bail.
Alves was sentenced to four and a half years in prison for rape in February 2024. The final ruling on all the appeals could take up to two more years, according to reports coming out of Spain.
The bail conditions for the 40-year-old also include that he can’t leave the country and he will have to surrender his Spanish and Brazilian passports to Spanish authorities as measures to ensure he does not leave the country.
He will also have to report once a week to a Barcelona court. He won’t be allowed to be within 1km of the victim and is forbidden from contacting her by any means.
On the other hand, Neymar's father has denied the rumour that he would not pay the bail because the situation is different as the Spanish authorities have now already decided on the case.
