Cole Palmer is gradually etching his name into the history book at Chelsea Football Club following his impressive performance since he joined from Manchester City during the 2023 summer transfer window.

Cole Palmer scored two goals and created an assist, both of his goals were penalties but one of them was a panenka which has got the media buzzing especially with the way he was calm under so much pressure in the game. The England international was asked about his state of mind and why he decided to play the penalty the way he did.

He said,

I tried the panenka and thankfully it went in. It was a bit frantic and the game was all over the place. I thought the keeper was ready to dive so I chipped it. It was good!”.

He also spoke about the good vibe at Chelsea which has not been seen at the club in the past couple of seasons.

"Chelsea fans have had a tough couple of years, a few years before I got here and last season was tough as well. To see them happy, smiling and singing is what we play for”.

Palmer also wrote his name on the history book of the Premier League by becoming the first player in history to score 12 goals from 12 penalties, a feat that has never been achieved.
