Pulisic scored the winning goal in Chelsea's 1-0 win over the Hammers at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, April 24th, 2022 According to the American who was speaking on the official website of Chelsea FC, he wanted to make a difference in the hame with the few minutes he had left.

It was a massive goal. We had so much pressure on them for most of the game but we couldn’t get that breakthrough, so I am happy I was able to help out. I always want to be on the pitch, to help my team and I am glad I got the opportunity today. We played a good match and we got our deserved goal in the end. I needed to come in and make a difference, prove I want to be playing and I am happy I did that.

Pulisic was criticised by most Chelsea fans for not taking his opportunities in the second leg of the Quater-final in the UEFA Champions against Real Madrid. He missed two clear chances to win the game for the Blues but he failed to take his chances.

Chelsea are currently third on the Premier League table with 65 points, five points ahead of Arsenal who are in fourth place.
