Watch Enzo Maresca's first win as a Chelsea manager
It was a case of third-time luck for Chelsea's head coach, Enzo Maresca, as he was finally able to secure his first win since he took the managerial role at Stamford Bridge in the game vs Club America.
Chelsea played their third pre-season game with a win over Club America after failing to secure wins against Wrexham and Celtic in their first two games in Santa Clara and Notre Dame respectively. The Blues started their game vs. Club America on a flying start when Christopher Nkunku scored the opening goal in the first two minutes of the game.
Two goals came before half-time, as Christopher Nkunku converted a penalty after a couple of minutes and Marc Guiu showed Chelsea supporters a glimpse of what to expect as he scored a flick header before Noni Madueke made it 3-0 from the spot-kick with ten minutes to the end of the game.
Chelsea's latest signing, Filip Jorgensen, was introduced in the second half alongside Enzo Fernandez in the second half. The major highlight of the second half before the goal was scored was when Armando Broja missed a massive chance to make it three, failing to hit the target when clean through on goal.
The supporters of the London club who were at the Stadium will go home with fulfilled following the result of the game vs Club America.
