The German confirmed the news after Chelsea's 2-0 win over Middlesbrough to book a spot in the semi-finals of the FA Cup. James was invited by the coach of the Three Lions, Gareth Southgate in the team news for the games against Switzerland and Ivory coast.
Petr Cech will have this chat. Because the recommendation is that he does not go. He is still in individual training, otherwise, we would have brought him to Lille and we would have brought him here for sure. There is no doubt about it. He is still in individual training, he needs one more week of rehabilitation and I think we can provide this much better .it is not the job of the national team to do this.
This decision means Southgate will have only Manchester United's Luke Shaw as the only right-back in his squad following Liverpool's earlier decision to withdraw Trent Alexander-Arnold.
