Reports now indicate that Chelsea is set to complete the 11th signing from the Premier League side Brighton in 17 months since the new owners took charge of the club.

According to reports Brighton's Head of Recruitment Sam Jewell, has agreed on a deal that would see him in Chelsea as the head of recruitment and play an active role in the multi-club approach of the club.

Reports of his impending move to Stamford Bridge were confirmed when Brighton in an official statement confirmed that Sam has been placed on gardening leave.

A recent report by The Athletic reveals that Sam, who was previously associated with a move to Manchester United, has resigned from his position and is expected to join Chelsea's owners' multi-club model in a global role around November, after completing his notice period.

Following in the footsteps of his predecessor Paul Winstanley, who also made a move from Brighton to Chelsea 16 months ago, Sam will be joining the team of co-sporting directors, Winstanley and Laurence Stewart.

As part of their ongoing efforts to build a robust team, Chelsea has also announced the appointment of Swansea City's head of football operations, Josh Marsh, as the loans manager. This latest development highlights Chelsea's continued focus on strengthening their team and expanding their global reach.

Sam would become Chelsea's 11th signing from the Seagulls in a space of 17 months since the ownership took charge.
