Chelsea Reportedly Submits a Bid for Another Defender

Chelsea Football Club have reportedly submitted a bid to Lyon for their right-back, Malo Gusto.

Chelsea are looking for a player that can cover up for Reece James who is currently sidelined due to injury. According to reports from Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 side are keen on keeping their defender despite offers coming from the Blues.

The French youth international right-back has been a starter for Laurent Blanc since he took charge of Lyon midway through last season ( 2021/22). The 19-year-old has 54 appearances for his formative club’s senior side in all competitions, notching six assists.

The London club are not ready to give up on signing Gusto anytime soon as they are looking to submit another bid.
