Chelsea Football Club are reportedly set to submit a bid for Aston Villa's striker Jhon Duran, who has become one of the most wanted players at the club.

Jhon Duran has been targeted by Chelsea since the January transfer window and he is back in the club’s sights as the Blues look forward to getting a striker ahead of next season. He joined Aston Villa in January 2023 but has played second fiddle to the club's number-one striker, Ollie Watkins since he arrival at Villa Park.

The Blues were initially looking at the possibility of bringing in Benjamin Sesko whose release clause was placed at £55 million but things did not go as planned for the London club.

Desko was ruled out of the shortlist after he agreed on a new contract with the German club, this has increased the interest of Chelsea in Jhon Duran. There are reports that Villa are asking for £40 million plus Conor Gallagher who has been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Chelsea are also looking at the possibility of bringing in Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke as they are keen on finding someone who can compete with Nicolas Jackson in the forward line.

Chelsea supporters will hope their club can bring in a striker who will be clinical in front of goal.
