Chelsea reach an agreement with Leicester City for Enzo Maresca
Chelsea Football Club have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Leicester City's head coach Enzo Maresca ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official X account on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. According to the Italian journalist, Chelsea and Enzo Maresca have reached an agreement on a five-year deal with an option to extend by an extra year which could run till 2030.
However, Chelsea have also agreed on a deal with Leicester City which is around £10 million, this deal will allow them to release Maresca to the Blues ahead of the new season.
The Chelsea board are impressed by his knowledge about their squad, the way he wants the team to play and his desire for the job. Maresca could be announced as the new manager of Chelsea in the next couple of days.

Maresca's rise to success has been nothing short of remarkable. The former midfielder, who played top-flight football for over two decades. He has established himself as one of the most promising young managers in English football. His success at Leicester City, where he guided the Foxes to the Championship title in his first season in charge, was what got the attention of the board of directors at Chelsea.
