When is the Summer 2024 transfer window?

The 2024 summer transfer window is quickly approaching, with the opening date now set. The Premier League has notified clubs that the transfer market will officially open on Friday, June 14, 2024, kicking off what is expected to be an intriguing two-and-a-half months of activity.

Clubs will have until Friday, August 30, 2024, to finalize their deals. This earlier start date has been selected to avoid the transfer deadline falling on a weekend.

Chelsea FC's transfer news ahead of the summer 2024 window have been coming in thick and fast following the confirmation of a new head coach Enzo Maresca. The Blues are reportedly looking to finalise all transactions and bring in players whom they believe would be essential in the 2024/2025 club football season.

So far a total of five players have been identified as Chelsea's target in the summer 2024 transfer window. These players are:

• Benjamin Sesko: In what has been reported as the main striker target for Chelsea FC following the board's decision not to sign Victor Osimhen again, Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig has captured the attention of the new owners. It has been reported that Chelsea is considering bringing the talented youngster to Stamford Bridge amidst interests from Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG respectively.
• Tosin Adarabioyo: According to recent reports, former Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo is set to become Chelsea's first senior team signing of the June 2024 transfer window. The Blues are looking to strengthen the defence unit following the departure of Thiago Silva from the club.
•  Jhon Duran: Reports now indicate that the Aston Villa young forward Jhon Duran has been viewed as another option for the striking role at Chelsea. The Blues initially showed interest in the January 2024 transfer window and from all indications would be looking to renew that interest once again.
• Micheal Olise: Following a move thwarted by Crystal Palace with a contract extension in the January 2024 transfer window, Chelsea have reportedly renewed their interest in signing Michael Olise once again according to recent reports
• Joao Cancelo: A new player has been added to the field of Chelsea targets ahead of the Summer 2024 transfer window as it has been confirmed that the Blues have shown interest in signing Manchester City's Joao Cancelo whose transfer fee has been estimated to be at around 60 million euros.
