Chelsea FC has received a huge player boost ahead of their must-win Premier League fixture against Man City as a first-team player has resumed training with the entire team.

On Friday, February 17, 2024, Chelsea announced on their official social media handles, confirming that their midfielder, Romeo Lavia, has resumed training with the first team. This comes after the player had been out of action for a considerable duration in January 2024 due to an injury.

Although the news of Lavia's comeback is a relief for the team, it is still uncertain if the player's injury update will be considered as they approach their upcoming fixture against Man City. Nonetheless, the return of this talented midfielder is sure to boost team morale and give the fans something to cheer about.

Mauricio Pochettino in his pre-match press conference gave the latest on players that would be out inured ahead of the Chelsea vs Man City Premier League fixture scheduled for this weekend.

In a recent update, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed the team's lineup for their upcoming match against Manchester City. According to Pochettino, two players - Thiago Silva and Carney Chukwuemeka - will not be taking part in the game. However, three other players - Malo Gusto, Levi Colwill, and Robert Sanchez - have been declared fit and are available to play against the reigning champions.

This news will undoubtedly have an impact on the team's strategy and approach to the match, as they look to secure a vital win against a tough opponent.

During Chelsea's match against Crystal Palace on Monday night, Thiago Silva was forced off just after the 60-minute mark due to a groin injury. He was replaced by youngster Levi Colwill, who came on in his place at Selhurst Park. With the Carabao Cup final just over a week away, Pochettino will no doubt be concerned about Silva's fitness ahead of such an important period for the Blues.

To add to the worries, Colwill was also seen hobbling in the dying moments of the match, indicating that he may have suffered a recurrence of a niggle that had previously kept him out of Chelsea's previous three games. It remains to be seen if either player will be fit enough to play in the upcoming matches, which will be a crucial period for Chelsea as they look to secure silverware in the coming weeks.
