Chelsea player gets nominated for December 2023 Premier League player of the month

The Premier League have announced eight players who are in line to win the best player for the month of December 2023.

The body announced the nominated players on its official website on Thursday, January 4, 2024. Bournemouth topped the list having two players representing in them in the short list which includes Dominic Solanke and Marcos Senesi.

Meet the remaining nominated players for December 2023 player of the month

Cole Palmer

The former Manchester City player was fantastic for the Blues in December, his goals ensured the Chelsea stayed in the first half of the table after the first round of fixtures in the league.

Trent- Alexander Arnold

The Reds defender had a fantastic December when he scored a sensational late winner in the Reds' 4-3 comeback win over Fulham. He went unbeaten during a month that included matches against Manchester United and Arsenal. He had three assists and three clean sheets, and creating the joint-most chances of any player in December.

Matheus Cunha ( Wolves)

He was directly involved in six goals in seven appearances as Wolves won four of their seven matches. He scored or assisted in all aside two games in December.

Mohammed Kudus ( West Ham)

The winger has been key to West Ham's success this season, he has scored four times in December. He was influential in games against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, Man Utd and Wolves as the Hammers moved into the top six.

Son Heung-Min ( Tottenham)

The South Korean was involved in eight goals in December 2023, he led Spurs to four wins, keeping them in touch with the teams occupying the top four position.

Michael Olise ( Crystal Palace)

The England international was in good form despite the poor form of the Eagles having just one win in seven games. Olise was involved in five goals for Palace.

The winner will be announced next week after the votes have been combined by a panel of football experts.
