New update from Chelsea on Caicedo and Mudryk's injury
The victory over Fulham in the Premier League for Chelsea is a bittersweet one as the Blues have now lost Caicedo and Mudryk to injury once again.
There seems to be no rest in sight for Chelsea''s head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, as he has now lost two first-team players to injury as the Blues bagged their second three points for the season in the Premier League against Fulham.
In his post-match conference, Poch revealed that Mudryk has felt something in his quad (quadriceps muscle strain), and he is hopeful the injury is nothing serious and he will be available for the Premier League fixture against Burnley during the weekend.
He said, 'He felt something in his quad which we need to assess. He didn’t feel comfortable to keep playing. We hope it’s not a big issue, we hope it’s nothing big, and he can be available for Saturday.’
The Blues head coach also went on to speak about Moises Caicedo being subbed off late in the game. He shared that the Ecuadorian suffered a contusion, and he is also hopeful the injury is nothing serious.
