Fans have taken to social media to react to the recent reports of Chelsea FC leaving Stamford Bridge stadium in London.

According to recent reports, Chelsea are considering relocating from Stamford Bridge to build a new stadium to expand their home ground's capacity.

Stamford Bridge currently holds 40,343 seats, and the board is prioritizing increasing the stadium's size, as it lags behind many Premier League rivals. In fact, eight clubs in the league have larger stadiums, and within London, Stamford Bridge is only the fourth biggest.

According to The Guardian, Chelsea have engaged in discussions about moving to a new venue in Earl's Court, given the complexities of expanding their current location.

These talks have involved Transport for London and real estate firm Delancey. Although the Earl’s Court Development Committee's current plans do not include a football stadium, productive discussions have been held, and a preliminary design for a stadium at the Lillie Bridge depot section of the site has been proposed.

While Chelsea have not dismissed the possibility of expanding Stamford Bridge through a phased, stand-by-stand redevelopment, the close proximity to the tube line poses challenges.

If the club decides to redevelop their current ground, they may need to use a temporary venue (likely Wembley Stadium) during construction, similar to Tottenham Hotspur’s arrangement during the building of their new stadium.

This decision has sparked numerous speculations on social media and here are some of the reactions below:
