Ahead of the return of club football, Chelsea have announced that two of the first team players out injured since the start of the season have returned to training.

The London club announced the return of Wesley Fofana and Christopher Nkunku with pictures of them training with the rest of the team at the Cobham Training Ground in London.

Recall that a return date for Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku was initially confirmed by Chelsea's head coach after an image of the football star in the gym with Raheem Sterling surfaced on social media.

Chelsea's head coach Mauricio Pochettino had mentioned that Nkunku might make his return for the Blues before the year 2023 comes to an end.

The latest update on Christopher Nkunku's injury and fitness update indicates that the forward might be fit enough to start for Chelsea from the bench in this weekend's fixture.

This update and speculation was shared by reporters after Nkunku was pictured in training with the rest of the team for the first time in over three months.
