Transfer Shockwave: Chelsea Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy Poised for Surprise Departure From Stamford Bridge
Reports now indicate that goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is set to make a shocking move away from Chelsea FC as the new season draws closer.
In a move many did not see coming. Senegal and Chelsea FC goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is rumoured to be preparing for a move away from Chelsea FC and from Europe as a whole. According to popular sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, Edouard Mendy has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Saudi Arabia club Al Ahli and is set to make a move to the Arab League on a permanent move and deal valid till June 2026.
This would be a shocking move for Edouard Mendy as many clubs in Europe, specifically, the French Ligue 1, have all shown interest in signing the talented goalkeeper whose future in Chelsea has always been uncertain following the poor run of form after the African Nations Cup in 2022.
The Blues too would also intensify their search for another goalkeeper if the deal for Mendy is finalised with Al Ahli.
