Chelsea Football Club Set a New Record in English Football

Chelsea Football Club has set an unwanted record for themselves following their defeat to Liverpool in the final of the FA Cup.

The Blues have lost the last three consecutive FA Cup finals against Arsenal, Leicester City and Liverpool in the last three seasons. Chelsea lost the game against the Reds on Saturday, May 14th, 2022 6-5 on penalties, following a 2-0 and a 1-0 defeat to the Gunners and the foxes respectively.

The last team to suffer three consecutive FA Cup finals are Newcastle United, the Magpies lost the final 1974, 1998 and 1999. The only consolation for Chelsea fans is a top four finish which guarantees them a spot in the final of the UEFA Champions League next season.
