The wait for fans of Chelsea Football Club to discover who their new owner is might be officially over.

The Athletic confirmed on its official website on Friday, April 25th, 2022 that Todd Boehly has won the race to but the Stamford Bridge club. However, Boehly is joined by his fellow Dodgers co-owner Mark Walters and the Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss will be the owners of Chelsea.

It is reported that the total bus is in excess lf £4 billion which includes £1.5 billion to develop the club and Stamford Bridge, on top of meeting Raine’s valuation of around £2.5 billion.

The Boehly group is also in contention with the ex-Liverpool chairman Sir Martin Broughton and the Boston Celtics and Atalanta co-owner Stephen Pagliuca had also seen their bids shortlisted. According to reports, Pagliuca had been told that his consortium will not be named as the preferred bidder for Chelsea.
