Chelsea Football Club might have a lot to worry about with players' fitness less than two weeks into the 2023–24 football season.

The Blues is reportedly set to be without their captain, Reece James when they face West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday, August 20, 2023. According to reports, the England International suffered a hamstring injury and he is expected to undergo a scan to know the extent of the injury.

James has failed to enjoy his football in the past two seasons, he has spent more time off the field than he has on the pitch. This injury is a big blow to Mauricio Pochettino as he looks to build a team that will be able to compete in the Premier League, Carabao Cup and FA Cup this season ( 2023/24).
