There are a lot of worries at Chelsea Football Club and the latest problem that will most likely be added to the club is the possibility of Marc Cucurella leaving at the end of this season.

Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this in an exclusive interview with Caughtoffside, according to him Cucurella is one of the players whose future will be discussed at the end of this season. However, he said the situation of the former Brighton player will not be discussed until the summer transfer window opens.

He said,

"Marc Cucurella, the Chelsea left-back has been linked with a return to La Liga. My understanding is that he is one of the situations to be assessed at the end of the season. Cucurella, Chalobah and more…these players are waiting to see what Chelsea decide to do in terms of project, tactical plans for next season, the manager situation.”

He also spoke about how close the left-back was to joining Manchester United on loan during the 2023 summer transfer window following the injury to Luke Shaw.

"Cucurella was available on loan in the final days of August last year but deal with Man United collapsed because Man Utd wanted to include a break clause for January and Chelsea rejected."

Cucurella has struggled to find his feet at Stamford Bridge since he completed his move from Brighton in 2022, hence why he is looking for greener pastures outside Chelsea.
