Chelsea FC To Set New Transfer Market Record With Defender Kalidou Koulibaly

As Chelsea FC push to complete the deal for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Thomas Tuchel's side would be setting a new record in the transfer market if the deal gets completed.

It is no secret that the Thomas Tuchel led Chelsea FC are pushing to sign a defender to fill in the shoes left by Antonio Rudiger and from all indications the man for the job seems to be Kalidou Koulibaly and the Blues would be setting a new transfer record if they get to sign him.

Chelsea FC is reportedly offering a deal worth over 33 million pounds and if the bid is accepted Koulibaly would become the most expensive player over the age of 30 in the transfer market.

This is the asking price Serie A side Napoli has demanded for and t.Todd Boehly is reportedly set to meet the bid after personal terms have been offered to the African defender himself.

This would also be a huge signing for Chelsea as the experience of Koulibaly is undeniable and his partnership with Thiago Silva would present Chelsea with a more co-ordinated defense line.

According to Fabrizio Romano Thomas Tuchel is the one pushing for the move for Koulibaly to join the London side.
