Chelsea Football Club has released a statement as it concerns the current invasion in Ukraine.

The statement was released on Chelsea's official website on Sunday, February 27th, 2022 just hours after the owner, Roman Abramovich released a statement handing over the affairs of the club to Chelsea's Charitable Foundation.
The situation in Ukraine is horrific and devastating. Chelsea FC’s thoughts are with everyone in Ukraine. Everyone at the club is praying for peace.
Chelsea has been in the news for bad reasons all week following the comment from a member of the English Parliament asking that Abramovich should not ne allowed to own a football in the country because of his relationship with Vladimir Putin.
