Chelsea FC players react to the signing of midfielder, Lesley Ugochukwu

Players of Chelsea FC have reacted to the latest signing by the club, Lesley Ugochukwu, ahead of the 2023/2024 club football season.

In an attempt to further strengthen the squad ahead of the 2023/2024 club football season, Chelsea FC, in an official statement, confirmed the signing of the talented midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, who has been on the radar of several clubs in Europe.

Following an official confirmation of the signing by the club in an official statement on social media today, Tuesday, August 1, 2023, which read, " Chelsea has completed the signing of teenage midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu. The 19-year-old joins on a seven-year contract, with a club option of a further year. He has moved from his hometown club Rennes, for whom he was a regular last season as they finished fourth in France’s Ligue 1 and made the knockout stage of the Europa League," players at Stamford Bridge took to the comment of the official account of the blues to react to the signing of the young talent.

Ben Chilwell took to the comment section to welcome the star player, and fellow left-back Marc Cucurella also liked the announcement of the Blues.

Lesley Ugochukwu has been considered as an alternative to the rumoured target of the Blues Moises Caceido. Reports also indicate that he was also viewed as a possible replacement by Brighton if they end up selling the Colombian Caceido.
