Chelsea release updated squad numbers for 2023/24 season

Chelsea Football Club have announced the players squad numbers ahead of the 2023/24 football season.

The Blues new goalkeeper, Djorde Petrovic will wear the number 28 jersey, which was previously worn by Cesar Azpilicueta, while the last player to join Chelsea in the summer, Cole Palmer, opted to wear the number 20 jersey.

Chelsea confirmed the updated list on its official website on Thursday, September 7, 2023. Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, Axel Disasi, and Robert Sanchez who recently signed from Brighton, were all given the numbers 18, 15, 2 and 1 respectively.

World Cup winner Enzo Fernandez will now wear the number 8 jersey, Mykhailo Mudryk will wear number 10 while Raheem Sterling will wear number 7.
