Chelsea FC Confirm Mauricio Pochettino as its New Manager

Chelsea Football Club have announced the appointment of Mauricio Pochettino as its new manager from the first of July 2023.

The announcement was made on the official website of the Blues on Monday, May 29th, 2023. The Argentine signed a two-year deal that will keep him at Chelsea until at least the summer of 2025, there is also an option to extend the deal by an extra year.

Poch will be the second full-time manager hired by new owners since the new board took over in June 2022. He has been given two years less than the five handed to Potter who lasted just eight months on the job.

The 51-year-old will bring his Premier League experience during his days at Tottenham to Stamford Bridge. He was most recently in charge at Paris Saint-Germain and guided the club to a Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France.

Jesus Perez, Miguel d’Agostino, Toni Jimenez, and Sebastiano Pochettino will come in as the Poch's backroom staff.
